Is there any advantage (any at all to include looks/appearance) that true duals routed with the rear cylinder being routed out the left side and not under from the right?

I was all set to put in V&H Dresser Duals but a friend swears by Freedom Performance with the rear cylinder head pipe routing out the left side.

It is my understanding that by routing out the left side, excessive heat is a problem for the passenger's left leg. Is that the only disadvantage?

As a second side note/question, does anyone have Freedom Performance headers paired with CFR slip ons?

Yes rear hotter True duals equal less horse power and torq. Proven on dyno. Power curve not to standard.

Sullyolive- I have the True Duals and the difference is negligible over my Power Duals. Although the Dyno may show otherwise in numbers, the seat of the pants doesn't feel the difference. My set have a plenium connecting the 2 pipes to equalize BP. I can't speak for others but it isn't noticeable to me. Could be different with different brand head pipes, not sure.

I have the Freedom 4" racing slip-ons and live them, with stock head pipes. The quality is top notch, that said they make both left exit and under the bike head pipes for our ride.
