I thought I would give my thoughts on both products for people who might find yourself interested in either product.

Bug Slide $20 with microfiber cloth

HD Denim cleaner with HD microfiber cloth $19

I've used the HD denim cleaner since my bike was new (2014), it's been a decent product. I wanted to try something new as it definitely isn't perfect but what is right?

Last week I ordered some BugSlide just to mix it up a bit after seeing it was fine on matte paint.

I've used it twice and these are the things I've noticed so far about it...

Does it remove the bugs easier? Yes, it does seem remove the bugs easier. Seems like it leaves a coating that makes it easier to remove them next time as well. I've found that I've not had to use my fingernail through the cloth near as much as I did with the HD denim cleaner. Another thing I've noticed is less streaking so I'm using less product to get the desired look. Another thing I've noticed is the sometimes you get these little watermark looking spots on your paint and this removes them much easier that the denim cleaner.

The roads were a little wet today but no rain while I was riding, I will use the BugSlide to clean it up to see how well it works with that situation probably in the morning as I'm at work right now.

In my opinion so far it's worth the extra dollar easy, I will keep you all updated with the cleanup of the watery road stuff tomorrow at some point.

I hope this helps, sometimes it's difficult to find stuff like this when you are looking for it.

Thx. I have a '15 SGS Denim Black, and was curious if this was safe to use as well. Currently I use Wizards Matte Paint cleaner. Works very well, but still a pain keeping the fairing clean as far as bugs go. Thx...

No problem, I haven't tried wizards yet but I've heard it's good

The mfg'r now says it's OK on Denim paint:

"BugSlide only enhances your existing finish.
Example: If your vehicle’s surface has a glossy finish it will buff to a brilliant shine. If the surface has a flat finish it will not shine it. The surface will remain flat."

Yeah I was happy with it on mine, now if I could just get my bag lids looking new again! My girlfriend has hit them a few times getting on and off...

Bugslide is your friend. I use it on everything-chrome, vinyl, etc.

Used it on the road grime this morning and it did great!

Tried it out in the driveway where my bike was in direct sunlight for a while with crappy results but I think all cleaners are the same when it comes to that
