So tonight 6/28/15 is the first time I had my 14 SG out at dusk and night with the new HD Day Maker. All I can say is wow, even my wife noticed a significant difference. I was unhappy about the cost, but after seeing the benefits I would recommend this light or a light of like this to anyone.

I am happier with it than the factory setup for sure. There have been several more options available now from JW Speaker, Ebay and replacement bulbs for the stock headlight. When I bought, it was just about the only other option but I have no regrets and, a good re-aiming doesn't hurt either.
By the way for those of you still on the fence, I am pretty good friends with my dealers parts manager and when he pitched the Daymaker to me early last year, I told him I was considering one but the cost was too high. I then mentioned I saw that I could get one from another dealer mail order for $106 less and he matched it! I'm told that the MSRP from HD has come down since.

hands down... one of the best safety upgrades you can make....

I went with the daymaker also on my 14 SGS. Along with the headlight I also had daymaker LED aux lights added too. I think the aux lights do degrade the look of the clean look on the front of the bike BUT, driving at night does make it all worth it. Literally, night and day difference. The total cost for me was around $1700 but I think it was probably the best upgrade I have done on my bike.

I did the same thing and agree 100%.

I went with the JW Speaker headlight, it's the exact same as the daymaker, just cheaper. So glad I installed it, I like seeing where I'm going.

I did the same thing with the Aux lights. I am going with the JW Speaker lights though, haven't pulled the trigger on them just yet. $2000 on the stereo has dented my accessory funds

I think the JWSpeaker E2 light was one of the best improvements so far for me also, and would recommend this for everybody. Have thought about driving lights but so far haven't needed them.

Word I am hearing is that JWSpeaker is the one actually manufacturing them for Harley. A buddy of mine who owns a Ziebart glass and accessory shop talked with one of his reps about them as he had found them in one of his catalogues. Defiantly a huge savings with the JWSpeaker. I love may Daymakers. A lot of drivers don't, but that means they see me coming.

Would that make me, me three.
I had the them added when I bought the bike. It is on the expensive side but I want to be seen. Also I run with my headlight on high beam in the day time.

+1 here J ! The Plasma Rods on the back end it out as well.

100% agreed, one of the first upgrades I did and it makes a huge difference at night.

Yep!! it is a good upgrade. I went with the Daymaker LED Reflector Headlight. 100.00 bucks cheaper gives you a little more light when in corners. Then went the the passing lights Aux Lamps to match.

I have the Day Maker on my 2008. Holy hell is it a huge difference. I had the stock light on my VRod which wasn't very bright. The first night out on the new bike and it was day light all night.

I enjoy mine, a big difference from the stocker in most driving conditions. The only thing is when taking sharp exit ramps at night it doesn't quite light up the whole turn.

I recently changed to the LEDs for the headlights. Main and passing lamps. What a huge differences and upgrade. I was unsure about doing it just with the cost of them. Now I'm glad I did, Way brighter, and leaner light in front of you.
Now I just have to finish all the way around and do rear and turn lights.

Rear LED replacements for the turn signals are cheap compared to what you paid for the front end. Custom Dynamics has replacement inserts that going in your existing turn signal housings that are cheap as hell. Front and back ran me about $140. Twenty minute install, plug and play. Also the fronts run as white LEDs until you actuate a turn signal then they turn amber. Very visible and a big bang for the buck.

Cheap if you have a newer bike and don't need the convertor. I priced it with custom dynamics and it's going to run me 500 for front & rest turns and the tail light, convertor and triple play.

Yea that's not such a good price if you need the converter. They do brighten up the turn signals though.
