Chrome accent for air vent

I just bought the chrome accent for the air duct on my SG. Didn't realice I have to take apart the batwing to install it. Is this a fairly straight forward proceedure? anything to look out for?

make sure you have your hands on the outer shell. when you take out the bolts it will just about fall off.

Cover the front fender with a thick towel- in case you drop the fairing on it while removing. Ask me how I know...

It's pretty straight forward once you get the fairing shell off. Just for those of you thinking of replacing your fairing vent, the HD OEM part replaces the stock black piece while the Kuryakin unit is simply a cover. Both are over priced as is the painted version from HD.

Talking about over priced that was the star burst gauge accents. That one I couldn't stomach. I actually had them check the price as I couldn't believe that one. I keep saying to myself that I'll only buy ítems that will improve performance or improvement to the ride.
