Not sure if any of you guys have seen or heard of this happening but I recently saw a cop who had a bike pulled over stick a pice of stick up the bikes muffler I have to assume he was checking to see if the guy had removed the stock cat ??? If that's the case that would suck as there can be some pretty hefty fines for removing those

So far in Minnesota law enforcement is pretty lenient on noise enforcement that is if a rider is behaving. Now if a biker is squirreling around and attracting attention that will come to no good!
The stick test is a baffle check. If a bike is catless but has stock baffles a sniff test might reveal that but the stick would stop at the baffle if so equipped. It might pay to save the stock mufflers or at least have a legal baffle to install for future consideration.

Many slip-on's have baffles that would not allow this and I would NOT let any LEO stick ANYTHING in my exhaust.... what if they damage the baffle? Just sayin....

Different states have different emissions standards and laws. I am not sue about the officers level of intelligence of assuming liability if damage is done to the bike? But my tail pipe is exhaust only lol

I think some cop stinking his stick in my exhaust would have to be some sort of civil violation

Is this kind of what they are talking about when they say don't drop the soap in the shower??? I did not know they get you prior to getting arrested too....
