Hello all,

I have a 2009 with 103 big bore kit, s.e 251 cams, 10.5:1 compression, ported stock heads, pro pipe, and stage 1 air filter. It has a pc3 that was tuned by the dealer back in 2009. I am looking to replace my exhaust and intake, so I am wanting to know if the pc3 will still suffice or whether I need to look for another tuner. I am not as concerned with raw hp as I am with rideability. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The PC3 will be fine, no need to buy another tuner. A session on a dyno after the mods would be a good thing.

Thanks guys. I will look into the tts and try to find a reputable shop that dynos with dyno jet and go from there.

The new Dynojet "Target Tune" looks interesting. It uses Bosch wideband sensors. It will build fuel trim tables based on air/fuel targets over the entire operating range. You can then update the Volumetric Efficiency tables based on those fuel trims. Assuming the sensors are accurate, the bike should run great and no dyno tuning would be necessary.

Thanks hulkss,
Sounds like a pretty cool deal. Leave it to dynojet to come up with that. I would definitely be interested in it in the future. Already have the 18mm O2 bungs in my header and could just leave the "disconnected" OEM sensors in the 12mm bungs to act as plugs. Sounds VERY INTERESTING.

I agree hulkss, I am learning from a builder I was talking with, a tuner that allows adjustments of fuel control is critical, especially when changing components such as cams.

Leaving the narrow band O2 sensors disconnected may be a problem. There are heaters in the sensors that help to keep them clean and working properly. Running the sensors for an extended period in the exhaust with the heaters off will probably contaminate them. Get some 12mm x 1.25 threaded plugs.

Appreciate that. I'm going to be holding off for awhile, anyway. Got clearance from my CFO to go ahead with the 120ST when we get our 2017 "toy box check" next January... if I still want to go that route. By then, I should have a decent amount of feedback (from YOU alone) on "going that route".

Also, I heard thru someone who is in a position to know, that Steve Cole has been working on a somewhat similar WB sensor solution for his TTS product.

I have a 2013 with the se110 tire shredder big bore kit with Thunder Max , Arlen Ness big Sucker for air and Vance n Hines exhaust. Runs great...

I have the Dynojet power vision an target tune on my 2016, I love it. But I also have the jackpot 2-1-2 header, full size cross over, and CFR mufflers. My factory 02 sensors are hanging on the shelf.

Same here for my 120ST... PV with Target Tune Wideband O2 module... 1074X Thunder Header and Elite breather. Love the versatility of the PV. Jamie Long and Fuel Moto team have excellent support and customer service

I know this an old thread But, The reason there are heaters in o2 sensors is to do just that heat them up and quickly they don't start working until they are about 600° unless he's running very fat it probably won't hurt them.
