I know HD makes one that keeps stock cover for a 2014 SG..Who else makes one? Are there any real differences? I'd assume they all use the same general filter..and backplate design..So, I'd guess only difference would be cost. Who has one besides the SE unit? What was your reason for buying?

We have a lot of folks with '14 & newer touring models that go with the Zippers HighFlow Air Cleaner Kit (link below). This system is just as good, if not better than HDs. I personally ride a 2010 Street Glide so I cannot speak from firsthand experience, but I can say that we get a lot of great feedback when we follow-up with customers who have gone this route.

Another option (vendors won't like me) is to just keep the stock Air filter. It keeps the engine cleaner than the oil type filters and it flows enough for a stage 1. You can search online for studies done (I've posted some here before) but my bike runs great and that is what I did. I picked up 3 stock air filters (for when my filter needs replacement) on ebay for $22 delivered so I'm set for many miles.

Zippers and Fuelmoto are basically the same. I have Fuelmoto as well as others on the SGF. Quality high flow induction system.
I will catch flack for this but I can take it, I think the oiled filter vs non oiled filter is blown way out of proportion. HD stock filters do not seal well against the housing and let way more dirt pass than any aftermarket filter. A couple of microns is minimal in comparing filters for a big bore engine.

I went with an Arlen Ness #18-442 (black backing plate). You keep your OEM cover (which I like). The reason I went with a Ness is because the backing plate has an integrated channel to flow the oil from the rocker head into the intake system. HD uses the rubber hoses and I think their backing plate only comes in the cast gray- unless you want to spend and extra $60 or so for chrome or crinkle black.
