Yep, you read that right..... at idle, it's sitting between 50-60psi. I let the bike warm up a little while, thinking that the pressure would eventually settle down once the oil was warm, but it never did. When I start the bike, it blows a crap-ton of white smoke then settles down to a light haze if I crack the throttle a little bit. I changed the oil back in October right before I put the bike away. I used all Harley stuff to do the oil change. Crankcase isn't overfilled. The other interesting thing with all this is, after I saw that my oil pressure was crazy high, I shut the bike off, and started to unscrew the oil filler cap to check the oil, and as I'm unscrewing it, it is hissing like there is a ton of pressure built up in there.

Anybody got any ideas? The bike is all stock except for slip-ons and an air cleaner. I'm out of warranty, so I won't be taking it to a dealer unless I absolutely have to.

Sounds like the cylinder head crankcase vents were blocked when the air cleaner was changed.

You were right. The bolts that the old air cleaner used weren't the stock bolts. Turns out the bolts weren't letting the vents do what they needed to do. Off to Harley tomorrow to get the right bolts. Thanks for the help.

You are amazing!
So with that, do you know the winning lotto numbers for tomorrow for your fellow SGS members?

Thanks, but I'm sure others knew the answer too. Lucky the air cleaner was mentioned in the first post.

Never made any money at the lotto.
