2010 sg radio volume

I bought the bike used in Dec from my dealer, ok so here it is , stock radio if tve bike isn't moving the radio is fine but going down the road the volume will just stop , the volume bars on the display move as I turn it up or down but still no volume. To get the volume to work again I have to turn it off then back on , the volume might work 2 minutes or 20. It does have an amplifier but I unplugged the wires from it to the radio and it still acts up . Anyone have any ideas ?

Bringing back an old post.
So I have stock head unit on my 08. My volume will turn down on its own. I'll turn it back up, and it turns its self back down. I put new bars on it and ran wires internally over the winter and rode it all year the following year with no problems. At first I thought I might have a pinched wire. But now I'm thinking just my HU. I checked my wires in the switch housing and it doesn't look like anything is pinched.
