Throttle Issues

I have a 2009 Street Glide with a totally stock motor. Twice now, the throttle has went into limp mode. I returned it to the Harley dealer where they cleaned the throttle body connection pins and checked all wiring. They informed me that I should clean the terminals and use dielectric grease once per year. Anybody else having this issue? Thanks.

I can't say I've ever had that problem with a Harley, but I have had that problem with a car. It would go into limp mode, I would shut it down and hope it worked when I started it. I ended up having to replace the throttle body and get a re-flash. Never had the problem again. Sounds like your bike is doing what my car did. Just a thought

thanks for your input. it got real exciting when issue happened the first time. rode the bike back home only 20 miles but the bike would only operate at 1200 rpms. when i got home turned the bike off and it restarted and ran fine, but did throw an engine code. that is when i took to my dealer and they went thru checking and that is when they told about the cleaning of these pin connections at my throttlebody.

Gives a new meaning to the song "slow ride". It might be worth the money to replace the throttle body and be done with the problem all together

I agree with blkbrd. My wife's car had the same issue and would work fine after a restart but eventually it would happen again. The fix was throttle body replacement.
