Added a few goodies to the front end today:
1. Klock Werks Ergo-Up Handlebars

Parts.jpg, Fairing.jpg

These steps get the job done (thanks to other posts on the subject):
1. Remove main fuse
2. Remove auxiliary lamps if you have them
3. Remove windshield & outer fairing
4. Remove inner fairing mounting screws, fairing skirt, and fork air deflectors if you have them
5. Remove switch dash panel screws
6. Remove lever assemblies and unplug handlebar wiring from inner fairing
7. Pull switch dash panel back and inner fairing forward to get at handlebar clamp
8. Remove handlebars
9. Swap switches, grips, and throttle-by-wire to new handlebars
10. Reassemble in reverse order.

Looks good Hulkss and you did that today or a couple of days ??

It was a two evening job just taking it easy. There are no pointed disemboweling corners in my handlebars so pulling the wires through the inside was easy. Everything powered up and works fine as far as I can tell without starting the bike.

Nice take your time and do it right thinking your way through it is the only way to go. I will be looking at different bars for the next couple of months trying to figure out what I will like and install.

hulkss, looks good. I'm planning on doing bar swap after I finish my stage 1. I've got the ergo back bars already and want to do the lighted switches also. Are they just a plug and play replacement of the stock ones or is there extra wiring needed?
Thanks,
FB

Plug and play. No extra wires. Zero extra work if your changing the bars anyway. Get a set of 8" NAMZ wire extenders for them. Throttle wire is long enough.

Thanks. I don't know if it's just me, but the stock white gauges were hard for me to see and read at certain times during the day.

I've always felt the same way and wished for the gauge faces from the Ultra.

hulks,

I have noticed the same problem with the stock gauges. The stock are ok at night, but certain times in the day light they can't be read. Let us know if the black face help out.

These bars look Great ! and impressed with all your work hulkss. Do these pull back ? Says 2" taller than stock on website (although yours look taller). Just got my 2014 SGS two days ago and already see bars in my near future (I'm 6'). Had a 2012 Switchback with 6" pullback risers and it was perfect for comfort.
Thanks

Looks good....I really need to do the mirror change out now that I've shanged the bars.......What did you do to clean up the inner fairing after removing the old mirrors??

Maybe a close up pic??

Nice right up! Looks good
At 6'1 this is the only mod I think I would like to do but I don't want to go crazy don't like the over the fairing look personally. 10' bars would be cool dose anyone have any pics of different styles installed?

These are the Ergo Back bars. Suppose to be 2 inches back, not really. They are 2 inches taller than stock and you can rotate them back. But that straighter wrist angle kinda keeps your hand more forward. They've been on a month and so far I'm happy with them. The wrist angle is straighter than stock. Some guys love that right off. I'm getting use to it. Wish there was something in between. My hands are below the fairing but were right in the way of the stock mirrors.

By the way, I found a picture and artists engraving of someone that looks like you...could it be?

Looks to me like he's examining a nut (from a bolt, etc.) Maybe hot from a torch.???
